Police investigate shooting death in Canonsburg

Canonsburg Police are investigating a shooting that resulted in the death of a borough man. According to information released by the Washington County Coroner’s office, Brady Hugh Paul, 25, of Canonsburg, was shot while at a friend’s residence in the 500 block of Giffin Avenue sometime before 11:40 p.m. Saturday. Paul’s friend sought help from a neighbor, who called 911. Paul was pronounced dead at 1:08 a.m. The cause and manner of his death remain under investigation. Other police departments responding to the scene included Cecil, North Strabane, Chartiers and Peters townships, along with the state police forensics unit. Claysville woman charged in stabbing

A Claysville woman has been charged in connection with the stabbing of an Amity teenager Saturday morning in Claysville. According to Pennsylvania State Police, Faith Marie Seibert, 18, faces several charges after stabbing a victim identified only as an 18-year-old male from Amity at about 11:35 a.m. on Mill Street. Seibert was arraigned Saturday before District Judge Gary Havelka and placed in the Washington County Prison with bail set at $50,000. Seibert is charged with two felony counts of aggravated assault and misdemeanor charges of simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and possession of an instrument of crime.
