Marshalls will open Oct. 10 in Washington Crown Center

There will be a new Marshalls in town Oct. 10.
A big-box retailer, Marshalls will open that day in Washington Crown Center. Its hours, on that date only, will be 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Marshalls specializes in clothing, shoes, apparel, accessories and beauty items, and prides itself on its fashions and designer-brand names. It is a popular retailer, with more than 900 stores in 43 states and Puerto Rico.
Currently, the closest Marshalls to downtown Washington is in Scott Township.
The new Marshalls will provide 60 full- or part-time jobs. It will have 24,000 square feet of space and is taking the Crown Center space previously occupied by Black Rose Antiques and Collectibles, which moved out in February.
Hours will be 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.
Richard Sherr, president of Marshalls. said in a news release: “The new Washington store will be stocked with a new, fresh assortment of the designer and brand name merchandise that shoppers love, every single week.”
Marshalls, based in Framingham, Mass., has national and local partnerships with charitable organizations. It will make a $5,000 donation to the Domestic Violence Services of Southwestern Pennsylvania during a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 7:30 a.m. on opening day.
