Chamber seeking nominees for Athena Award
The Washington County Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominees for the Athena Award, which will be presented May 9 at the Hilton Garden Inn, Southpointe.
The Athena Award program promotes women’s leadership and honor outstanding leaders.
By recognizing exceptional individuals, the award program seeks to inspire others to achieve excellence.
Nominees for the local award must live or work in Washington County. Both women and men are eligible to receive the award.
Candidates should meet the following criteria:
n Demonstrate excellence, creativity and initiative in their business or profession;
n Provide valuable service to improve the quality of life for others in their community;
n Actively assist women in achieving their full leadership potential.
The Athena Award is presented for achievement, service and assistance to others. The award is not intended to be a contest among competing nominees, but recognition of excellence.
