WHEELING, W.Va. (AP) — Wheeling’s WesBanco Arena is getting a $4 million makeover.

Improvements will include an overhaul of the 37-year-old arena’s facade, replacement of about 5,400 seats, and upgrades of restrooms and concession stands.

Media outlets report that city officials announced the renovations on Tuesday.

The city plans to sell bonds to pay for the project.

The arena is the home of the Wheeling Nailers hockey team.
