April table games revenue up in state
Table games revenue at Pennsylvania’s 12 casinos increased 4.02 percent last month compared with April 2014. It also was up at The Meadows Racetrack & Casino, but by only 0.15 percent.
The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board announced the results on its website (gamingcontrolboard.pa.gov) Friday. Gross revenue statewide was $64,684,083 in April, an increase from $62,184,790 from 12 months earlier. Nine casinos posted year-over-year gains, but four of them were less than 1.0 percent.
Table games play resulted in $9,283,706 in tax revenue.
The Meadows, in North Strabane Township, had $1,917,819 in revenue last month, $2,855 better than the previous April ($1,914,964).
Rivers Casino, in Pittsburgh, experienced a 0.13 percent increase to $6,260,397 from $6,252,232. Lady Luck Casino Nemacolin, in Fayette County, went up 41.74 percent over the year to $513,637 from $362,370.
The Gaming Control Board also listed total casino revenue for the two Aprils, including slot machine play, which it reported previously. The statewide total last month was $270,578,910, up 4.09 percent from $259,945,767.
The Meadows had a slight dip (0.81 percent) in total revenue, $20,283,534 from $20,448,714.
The Rivers had a small increase ($30,016,628 from $29,405,114, 2.08 percent) and Lady Luck a larger one ($3,065,834 from $2,466,115, 24.32 percent).
