Cornerstone Insurance Advisors, a subsidiary of Millcraft Investments, has opened its operations as a new insurance agency in the Western Pennsylvania region with offices in Pittsburgh as well as at Crossroads Center, 95 W. Beau St., Suite 610, Washington.

Cornerstone offers an array of comprehensive insurance solutions to both individuals and businesses with local, national, and international reach.

“This was a strategic growth opportunity for Millcraft. As property owners and managers that deal with risk management issues on a daily basis, we look at this new insurance subsidiary company as a value add to the services that Millcraft provides,” said Lucas Piatt, president and chief operating officer of Millcraft Investments.

Michael Barbarita will serve as president of Cornerstone and brings more than 40 years of experience to the new endeavor. Barbarita was previously the COO for First National Insurance Agency LLC, and

spent more than four decades with Marsh USA Inc.

In addition to managing Cornerstone, Barbarita is a risk manager for Millcraft Investments, a local real estate and hospitality developer.

The agency is currently a member of several industry organizations including Insurance Agents and Brokers of Pennsylvania, Trusted Choice Independent Insurance Agents, Private Risk Management

Association, and American Hotel and Lodging Association.
