Waynesburg’s Fox to chair state’s automotive board

Mark Fox is following another family tradition.

The president of Fox Ford in Waynesburg was named chairman of Pennsylvania Automotive Association’s board of directors for 2016. He has been on the board for 12 years.

His late father, Robert, not only preceded Mark as president of the dealership, but was PAA chairman in 1997 and 1998.

PAA is a trade organization representing 900 franchised new car and heavy duty truck dealerships statewide. It works with the General Assembly and the Governor’s administration to educate policymakers on the new car and truck industry.

“It is wonderful to have Mark in our leadership role this year,” PAA president John Devlin said. “He is highly respected in the dealer community.”

Mark Fox has bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Waynesburg University, where he is on the board of trustees.

Fox Ford’s roots go back 95 years, to when Mt. Morris Motor Co. opened July 18, 1921.

South Strabane Township-based Precision Marshall Steel appointed two of its Illinois office workers and a recently hired local employee to its sales staff.

The retirement of Mark Maxwell, vice president of sales, prompted the moves.

Dustin Gazda, Matt Warco and Rena Moore were selected by the company, a top supplier of deluxe tool steel and alloy plate.

Warco and Gazda were named account managers at the firm’s Bolingbrook, Ill., offices. Warco, a Trinity High School graduate who attended California University of Pennsylvania, will serve customers in the eastern United States; Gazda will do so in the west. Both have worked in client service and warehouse positions with the firm.

Moore was hired as deluxe plate product manager in South Strabane. She will be in charge of sales and marketing of plate products, Maxwell, a Washington native, has more than 40 years of service to Precision Marshall. He will remain on as a consultant through Sept. 30.

Company president and CEO Jackson Milhollan said in a prepared statement: “I deeply appreciate Mark Maxwell’s many years of distinguished service and am confident the new members of our team will continue to help us remain an industry leader.”

Washington Health System is offering a new form of diagnostic imaging – Symbia Intevo from Siemens.

WHS said in a news release Symbia Intevo combines “SPECT and CT scanning technologies into one powerful system” to provide a more comfortable exam and “highly accurate images to help you make a more confident diagnosis.”

William G. Castro, MD, is director of the health system’s nuclear medicine department, which was founded by Perry Smith, MD, in the 1970s.

Mike Geiger, executive officer of the Pittsburgh-based Big Plan Group is executing big plans. He owns and operates the seven Moe’s Southwest Grill franchises in Southwestern Pennsylvania, including the location at Trinity Point in South Strabane Township.

His multi-tasking locally led to him being selected for a 2016 Multi-Unit Franchisee MVP Award, which honors multi-unit franchisees for their work in growing businesses. Geiger won in the Innovation category and will be presented the award April 26-29 at the 15th annual Multi-Unit Franchising Conference in Las Vegas.

The other six Moe’s locations in this part of the state are in Collier, Robinson Township, Market Square (Pittsburgh), Murrysville, Cranberry and Wexford.

• Hampton Inn Pittsburgh-Bridgeville and Hampton Inn Butler, owned and operated by of Southpointe, each received a 2015 Lighthouse Award, which goes to the top 5 percent of performers from about 2,500 Hampton Inns. Performance is based on customer feedback, quality and service scores that are measured quarterly by Hampton Inn Hotels. The Bridgeville inn is off Interstate 79.

Rachel K. Lozosky and Donald B. Formoso were recently named partners at Peacock Keller, a Washington-based law firm. Lozosky is a 2001 Washington & Jefferson College graduate whose practice concentrates on education and employment law. Formoso, a University of Pittsburgh graduate, focuses on business law, estate planning, estate administration and real estate. Both graduated from Pitt’s law school.

Anderson Chiropractic, 3821 Washington Road, Peters Township, will host a presentation on liver rejuvenation and weight loss at 6 p.m. April 28. Mike Gallagher, a certified lifestyle educator and consultant, will speak about a liver rejuvenation program that could assist in weight loss. • The West Virginia Health Information Management Assoc. has named LaRonica “Ronnie” Decker-Tomlinson a 2016 Distinguished Member, which recognizes achievements in health information management. She is a former instructor at Waynesburg University.
