Westland Auction returns Friday
The Westland Auction, which shut down nearly four years ago, is making a comeback.
It will begin at 5 p.m. Friday with an estate sale at the facility, located at 404 Western Ave. (Route 519) in the Westland section of Mount Pleasant Township.
Lifelong local resident Marianne Hunnell will be the auctioneer for the weekly Friday event, which usually will begin at 5:30 p.m. She said the one this week will start sooner because of the large volume of items available from the estate of Jessie Louma of Carmichaels.
Hunnell said she had worked at the Hickory Auction for more than 20 years. She was born and raised in Burgettstown, later lived in Hickory and is currently a Greensboro resident.
