Revenue from table games in August fell by nearly half from August 2015 at The Meadows Casino, according to the latest report from Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.

According to figures released Friday by the PGCB, The Meadows’ gross table revenue in August was $1,625,299, compared with $3,053,182 a year earlier, a 46.77 percent decline.

The slide was the biggest among the state’s dozen casinos, followed by Lady Luck Casino Nemacolin, which posted a 29.91 percent decline in table games, dropping from $502,785 in August 2015 to $352,378 last month. Pittsburgh’s Rivers Casino also saw a 17.61 percent fall, from $6,557,702 in August a year ago to $5,404,034 last month.

The Meadows Racetrack & Casino property is currently in a transition to a new owner and operator.

Roxann Kinkade, spokeswoman for Las Vegas-based Pinnacle Entertainment, which is in the process of becoming the operator at the North Strabane Township gaming venue, said the company couldn’t comment on the revenue results at The Meadows because it was not the operator in August.

The local losses contributed to a statewide decline of 3.73 percent in the table games category.

According to the board, gross table games revenue generated $66,955,105 statewide, or $2,596,044 less than in August 2015, when revenue totaled $69,551,148.

The PGCB also reported the resulting tax revenue from table games play in August was $10,868,507.

The board also reported that combined gross revenue from the play of both slot machines and table games during August was $260,904,471, down 4.3 percent compared with August of last year.

For The Meadows Casino, the combined revenue amounted to a 11.27 percent decline from August 2015. Rivers Casino fell 9.81 percent and Lady Luck Casino declined 9.56 percent.
