Job expo slated Wednesday on Racetrack Road
Those seeking a job or a job change will have an opportunity to meet with about 35 vendors Wednesday at the 2016 Fall Career Expo in North Strabane Township.
The event, co-sponsored by the Observer-Reporter and Washington County Chamber of Commerce, will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the DoubleTree hotel on Racetrack Road. It is free to the public and geared toward anyone who is a high school graduate or older.
“We’re connecting employers with employees,” said Pam Tuscano, classified advertising manager at the Observer-Reporter, which helps to organize a career expo every spring and fall.
“We attract a mix of people from every age group – those right out of high school or college, those looking for work or in the midst of changing careers,” she said.
Candidates are encouraged to bring résumés. A CareerLink representative will be on-hand to assist job-seekers with résumé writing and interview techniques.
Pre-registration is at observer-reporter.com/career. For more information, call the newspaper at 724-222-2200, and ask for Judy Francis (extension 2488), Brittney Bonazza (2890) or Kim Rosser (2890).
