HARRISBURG – Gross revenue from gambling at table games in Pennsylvania casinos was up 2 percent in March, compared to March last year, according to figures released Tuesday by Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.

PGCB’s report showed gross table games revenue in March was $79,543,775, compared to $77,914,245 in revenue produced by the 12 casinos in March 2016.

The board noted this year’s March revenue was the highest month ever for table games, eclipsing the previous high achieved last March.

The board said total tax revenue from table games during March was $12,837,539 with an average of 1,231 tables in operation statewide on a daily basis.

The Meadows Casino saw its March table games revenue grow 5.09 percent to $3,291,110 from $3,131,813 from March of a year ago.

Pittsburgh’s Rivers Casino saw an 11.89 percent decline, moving from $6,695,386 a year ago to $5,899,056 last month.

Lady Luck Casino Nemacolin in Farmington recorded a 10.75 percent jump, moving from $383,398 to $424,608.

PGCB also reported the increase in table games revenue coupled with the earlier reported 0.6 percent decrease in slots revenue for March resulted in an overall gaming revenue increase for the month of just over 0.1 percent.

For The Meadows, combined table games and slots revenue was $22,525,980 in March, down 1.84 percent from the $22,949,317 a year ago.
