Pa. slots revenue falls 2%

HARRISBURG – The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board said Wednesday gross revenue from slot machines at the 12 casinos fell 2 percent to $209,124,966 in July compared to the $213,423,774 of gross revenue in July 2016.

Tax revenue for July of this year was $102,916,410.

At The Meadows Casino in North Strabane Township, gross terminal revenue fell 4.84 percent from $20,466,041 a year ago to $19,476,069.

Pittsburgh’s Rivers Casino saw a 1.59 percent increase to $24,310,386 year-over-year, while Lady Luck Casino Nemacolin in Farmington saw an 8.76 percent decline to $2,840,513 from a year ago.

According to PGCB, the average number of slot machines operating at the 12 casinos was 25,584 in July compared to 26,634 a year ago.
