Meadows Casino biggest percentage gainer in April table games report

HARRISBURG — Table games revenue collected at the state’s 12 casinos in April totaled $79,546,606, an increase of 10.2 percent over April of 2016, according to the latest information from the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.

According to figures released Tuesday by the PGCB, The Meadows Casino was one of the biggest contributors to the overall revenue growth in the table games category in April.

The North Strabane Township casino saw April table games revenue at $4,341,278, a 52.85 percent jump from the $2,840,161 collected a year ago.

The other big percentage gainer for April was Mt. Airy Casino, whose revenue jumped 41.26 percent last month to $4,917,779.

The other two casinos in Southwestern Pennsylvania saw revenue declines in April from their table games action.

Pittsburgh’s Rivers Casino fell 11.76 percent to $5,870,257 last month from $6,652,603 a year ago.

Lady Luck Casino Nemacolin in Farmington saw table games revenue decline 40.07 percent in April to $275,234, down from $459,271 a year ago.

According to PGCB, total tax revenue from table games play during April was $12,859,930 with an average of 1,235 tables in operation statewide on a daily basis.

The board said that when the table games revenue is combined with the earlier reported April slot machine revenue, total gaming revenue was 1.44 percent higher than April of last year.

For the Meadows, the overall revenue gain was 7.29 percent, at $23,707,329, up from $22,095,921 in April of 2016.
