Comcast says nationwide service outage fixed

1 min read

Businesses across the country wrestled with interruptions in Comcast’s Xfinity landline service over two days this week before the telecommunications giant said it fixed the problem Thursday afternoon.

Most Comcast Business service had been restored by mid-afternoon Thursday, after outages in service were reported in cities across the country earlier that day and Wednesday.

“Our engineers identified the issue and have restored services for Comcast Business Voice and Voice Edge Select customers,” spokesman Robert Grove said in a statement. “We are continuing to actively monitor this and are fully investigating the root cause, but our first priority is to ensure all customer services are working.”

Grove said customers who continue to see problems should contact the company.
