The Washington County Community Foundation announces that Northwest Bank’s contributions to the Foundation’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) Funds have reached $22,201 this year, helping expand educational opportunities for students and families throughout the region.

This contribution includes $15,000 directed to the Opportunity Scholarship Program (OSTC) Fund, $4,250 to the Educational Scholarship Organization (ESO) Fund and $2,951 to the Educational Pre-K Scholarship Organization (EPK) Fund. These funds help provide transformative learning experiences for students in Washington County by supporting innovative programs in both early learning and K-12 education.

With this latest gift, Northwest Bank’s cumulative giving to the WCCF’s EITC initiatives since 2007 totals $739,266.

“Northwest Bank has been a dedicated supporter of educational opportunities in our community for many years, and we are grateful for their continued investment through the EITC program,” said Aliesha Walz, WCCF President & CEO. “Their ongoing commitment helps expand access to innovative educational experiences for local students and strengthens the future of Washington County.”

The EITC Program, administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, enables businesses to receive tax credits for contributions made to approved educational improvement organizations such as the WCCF.

Businesses who are interested in learning how they may receive tax credits of 75% to 100% for qualifying contributions to the WCCF are encouraged to contact the Foundation at 724-222-6330 or www.wccf.net.
