WCCF Gives grant campaign sets record
WCCF Gives, hosted by the Washington County Community Foundation (WCCF), just had its biggest year ever, with the participating local charities set to receive a combined $2.1 million-plus in grants. This is the first time in the community-wide giving event’s history that the annual grant total has topped the $2 million mark.
WCCF Chairman Geraldine Jones stated: “This is a proud moment for the Washington County Community Foundation and the many charities that took advantage of all that WCCF Gives has to offer. This record was built by donors from every walk of life, each drawn by different passions, but united in their commitment to giving locally. It is an achievement worth celebrating.”
All WCCF Gives grants are unrestricted, allowing the participating charities to use the funding where it is needed most, from daily operations to new programs and expanded services. The 2026 grant total is comprised of donor contributions and $200,000 in special prize incentives.
The Foundation thanks the donors, sponsors, and participating charities whose generosity and efforts made this record-breaking result possible. An anonymous donor also provided support to cover online processing costs, helping charities receive the full value of credit card contributions.
