Washington County industrial leader Lighthouse Electric has taken a key step toward growing its regional footprint, unveiling a new, cutting-edge headquarters within Southpointe Business Park in Cecil Township on Thursday afternoon.

According to CEO Anton Mikec, who represents the third generation of family ownership over the pioneering electrical installation and manufacturing company, the company has set the stage for further growth by investing in its new headquarters.

“This is just the start of our expansion. It’s just the start of where we are going in Washington county,” he said. “This is just the start of where we are taking our companies.”

Lighthouse relocated its central corporate headquarters to the new, 30,000-square-foot facility at 400 Woodcliff Drive in Southpointe from a smaller office at 2200 Energy Drive earlier this year, ahead of a formal “wire-cutting” ceremony this week.

“We’re excited to have our own space, and it’s been a great space for us,” he said. “The team has been jumping in, and we’re growing already.”

The complex offers room for around 250 employees spread across the 400 Woodcliff building and two floors of rented space at 300 Woodcliff Drive, just across the street.

The new headquarters is located on top of a hill overlooking its previous office on Energy Drive, representing the company’s lofty upward trajectory.

Since the pandemic, the company has undergone significant growth, opening a 170,000-square-foot prefabrication plant in Canton Township earlier this year and making sizable investments in developing its regional footprint.

Lighthouse operates two other manufacturing facilities across western Pennsylvania, plus satellite offices in Columbus, Ohio, and Richmond, Virginia.

Washington County Chamber of Commerce President Jeff Kotula congratulated Lighthouse on their new facility, saying that the company is a “true corporate citizen.”

“I can think of no better business in Washington County than Lighthouse Electric, for their continued investment in not only our economy, but in our community,” he said.

Lighthouse Marketing and Events Coordinator Allison Brekosky said the expansion is “only the beginning,” noting that the company has “more to come.”

“We’re excited about the growth and what we’re doing,” Mikec said.
