Bound for Germany
We are, once again, getting on an airplane to my hometown of Stuttgart, Germany.
It hasn’t been quite as long since we were there last, which makes it even nicer and we are getting away from our routine here in Washington. Let’s be honest, routines can get kind of boring and we are definitely ready for some new adventures. The only bummer is that my husband, Jason, won’t join us for another four weeks.
Stuttgart is a family friendly place – I miss the closeness of things here, being able to walk to shops, getting fresh bread every morning (oh, the bread!), and public transportation.
If planning a trip here, a lot of natives here speak English and would be happy to use it. I would recommend taking some classes and trying to learn the language, if you can. Kids, especially, benefit from it. My son, Logan, is already bilingual and it totally blows me away!
My post this week is short as we are in transit. Wish us luck and smooth traveling! My son, Logan, is getting his own airplane seat for the first time, so the fun times of forking over tons of money to travel three people abroad have finally arrived.
I’ll just be enjoying some much needed time off – time to recharge those batteries.
