Mr. and Mrs. Michael J. Pavlik of Burgettstown announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer, to Kevin York, son of the Rev. and Mrs. James York of Washington.

Jennifer’s grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Alex Pavlik and the late Mr. and Mrs. Francis McCutcheon.

Grandparents of the future groom are Wilma York of Rockhill, S.C., the late James York Sr., the Rev. Robert Casler of Erie and the late Betty Casler.

The future bride is a 2003 graduate of Burgettstown Jr./Sr. High School; a 2007 graduate of Clarion University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in special education; and a 2011 graduate of California University of Pennsylvania, where she earned a master’s degree in early childhood. She is a special education teacher with Intermediate Unit 1.

Her fiance is a 2005 graduate of Portage Central High School, Mich. He is pursuing a bachelor of arts degree in pastoral ministry from Nazarene Bible College, Colorado Springs, Colo. He is an associate pastor at New Hope Church of the Nazarene, Washington.

The couple plan a July 13, 2013, wedding.
