Master Gardeners to conduct programs
Penn State Washington County Master Gardeners will hold the following programs:
• Composting Demonstration – 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Washington County Children’s Garden, across from the fairgrounds. Laura Delach, Master Gardener coordinator, will construct compost bins and explain the different materials that can be used.
• Preparing for Spring Gardening – 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Washington County Fairgrounds 4-H building. Delach will explain what plants can be grown now.
• Master Gardeners’ Plant Sale – 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 4 at the Washington County Community Center, 216 Taylor Drive, Canonsburg. Perennials, herbs, annuals and vegetable plants will be among the items sold. Proceeds will benefit Master Gardener projects.
