AMI poetry, art show scheduled
AMI Inc., 913 Jefferson Ave., Washington, will hold its fourth annual Poetry and Art Show from 3 to 8 p.m. May 10.
The creations on exhibit are evidence that individuals can produce substantial and meaningful work contrary to the stigma generally associated with mental illness. Ribbons will be awarded in poetry and art, and there will be a poetry reading at 7 p.m.
Submissions will be accepted until Sunday. Artists and poets must be Washington or Greene County residents with a current or past history of mental illness.
