Childbirth preparation classes will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays, May 8-29, at Mon-Vale HealthPLEX. Topics will include signs of labor, vaginal and caesarian deliveries, the role of a labor coach and comfort measures, including breathing and relaxation skills and pain medication options. Innovations in Breast Cancer Testing will be discussed by Dr. Natalie Furgiuele-Iracki at 6 p.m. May 14 in the Education Conference Center at Monongahela Valley Hospital. She will discuss genetic screening for hereditary breast and ovarian cancer. The program is part of MVH’s Innovations in Medicine series.
