A Marcellus Shale Festival will be held from 2 to 10 p.m. Aug. 15 at Stage AE, 400 N. Shore Drive, Pittsburgh.

There will be informational exhibits, breakout sessions, a KDKA town hall meeting, the Pittsburgh premiere of the movie “FrackNation,” including a meet-and-greet with “FrackNation” journalist Phelim McAleer and co-producer Ann McElhinney, and a concert by national recording artist Phil Vassar.

The town hall meeting, “Marcellus Shale – A True Public-Private Partnership: Maximizing the Resource,” will begin at 3 p.m. Among the panelists are state Sen. Tim Solobay, D-Canonsburg, and Matt Pitzarella, director of corporate communications and public affairs at Range Resources.

A $5 donation to the Mel Blount Foundation is recommended at the door.
