The 11th annual Tour the Montour Trail Ride will be held Sept. 21, starting with check-in at 7:15 a.m. at mile 0, Route 51 and Montour Road.

Courses include a family ride, which is 6 miles, with a 9 a.m. start; intermediate, 15 or 24 miles, 8:45 a.m.; distance, 44 miles, 8:30 a.m.; and metric century, 62 miles, 8:15 a.m.

An optional ride, King/Queen of the Mountain Challenge for those 16 and older, is available for those who would like to be timed on a seven-tenth of a mile hill climb. The average grade of the hill is 8 percent.

Deadline to register is Sept. 6.

Cost is $25 for those 13 and older; $5 for the king/queen challenge and children younger than 12; and $45 for a family, which includes four members for the 6- and 15-mile rides. All proceeds will benefit the Montour Trail Council, a volunteer group that builds, operates and maintains the trail.
