A free flea market will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at John Wesley United Methodist Church, 35 Central Ave., Washington. All items are free. Shoppers also can get a hot dog, chips and soda for $2.

A community chicken-and-biscuit dinner will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Sept. 5 at Liberty United Methodist Church, 1330 Banetown Road, Washington. Donations will be accepted. Proceeds benefit community outreach programs. Takeout orders will be available. For more information, call 724-222-7180.

An all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner with homemade meat sauce will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Sept. 6 at First Christian Church, 615 E. Beau St., Washington. Healthy Eating Supermarket Tours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sept. 11 at Bartolotta’s Giant Eagle, Fisher Heights. Health-care professionals from Monongahela Valley Hospital’s Center for Diabetes and Endocrinology will conduct the tours. Registration is required; call 724-258-1148.

Washington Health System’s diagnostic center in Peters Township will hold an open house from noon to 4 p.m. Sept. 11. A ribbon-cutting will take place at about 1:30 p.m.
