The American Heart Association, Washington/Mon Valley Division, will hold the Heart Ball, the organization’s signature fundraiser, March 2 at the Hilton Garden Inn at Southpointe.

The Heart Ball committee selected the theme “Moulin Rouge” for the event, which raises money to support heart and stroke medical research, as well as pubic and professional education programs. Research funded by the American Heart Association has yielded important discoveries, such as CPR, life-extending drugs, pacemakers, bypass surgery and surgical techniques to repair heart defects.

Co-chairmen are Pat McCune, president and CEO of Community Bank, and Nancy Bedwell, vice president of marketing for Beverage Distribution Inc.
