Fight for air

1 min read

The American Lung Association will hold the seventh annual Fight for Air Climb March 23 at One Oxford Centre, one of Pittsburgh’s tallest buildings.

Participants, teams and individuals will climb the 897 steps from 9 a.m. to noon. Check-in begins at 7 a.m.

The Fight for Air Climb raises awareness for the 35 million Americans who suffer from asthma and other lung diseases. Participants are asked to raise $100 to climb and pay $25 to register. All proceeds support lung disease prevention programs, research and advocacy efforts. The event aims to raise $85,000.

Climbers will be professionally timed, but there is no time limit when climbing. The association will present awards to individuals and teams at the post-event celebration. Refreshments and music will be provided.

Parking is available in the One Oxford Centre garage, Macy’s garage and the Boulevard of the Allies garage for $5. Climbers should arrive one hour before the start time to park, check in and stretch.

To register, contact Marissa Mysliwiec at 412-321-4029, ext. 226, or mmysliwiec@lunginfo.org, or visit www.lunginfo.org/pittclimb.
