School registration
Allison Elementary School in the Chartiers-Houston School District will hold kindergarten and first-grade registration for the 2013-14 school year from 9 to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m. April 16, 17 and 18. Call the school at 724-745-4700 to receive a packet and set up an appointment. Bring to the appointment the completed registration packet, the student, proof of residency and the child’s birth certificate, Social Security number and immunization records. Kindergarten children must be 5 years old on or before Aug. 31, and first-graders must be 6 years old on or before Aug. 31. Children who attend kindergarten at Allison Park do not need to register for first grade.
Children’s School of Washington, 615 E. Beau St., will hold preschool registration for 3- to 5-year-olds for the 2013-14 school year. For more information, call 724-228-1409 or visit the school’s website, www.childrensschoolwash.org.
