Cunningham – Shipman
Announcement is made of the engagement of Julie Shipman of Prosperity and Eric Cunningham of Taylorstown.
Julie’s parents are Rick and Judi Shipman of Prosperity, and her grandparents are Roy and Vi Shipman and Grace Conklin, all of Washington, and the late Arthur Conklin.
Donald and Cheryl Cunningham are the future groom’s parents. His grandparents are Clyde and Celia Henry of Bentleyville, Marge Cunningham of Taylorstown and the late Donald (Duke) Cunningham.
The bride-to-be is a 2005 graduate of McGuffey High School; a 2009 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, earning a bachelor’s degree in elementary education; and a 2012 graduate of California University of Pennsylvania, where she earned a master’s degree in education and early childhood. She is the director/teacher at Bethel Church Preschool and cheerleading coach at McGuffey Middle School.
Her fiance is a 1999 graduate of McGuffey High School; a 2003 graduate of California University of Pennsylvania, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in secondary education mathematics; and a 2012 graduate of Waynesburg University, earning a master’s degree in instructional technology. He is a mathematics teacher, department head and assistant rifle coach at McGuffey High School.
The couple plan an October 12 wedding.
