Genealogy workshop at Peters Twp. library

Kenneth Britten, president of the Genealogy Society of Southwestern Pennsylvania, will speak at a genealogy workshop from 1 to 3 p.m. Aug. 3 at Peters Township Public Library.

Britten will discuss “Beginning a Genealogy Search.” He also is a consultant at the Family History Center in Washington.

After his presentation, several members of the library’s Roots Genealogy Club will present information on different forms of genealogy research, including site search, Catholic records, tax records and genealogical organization/record-keeping strategies. Light refreshments will be served after the program.
