STEAM, which is STEM with a dash of Art, will power a free camp this summer at California University of Pennsylvania.
The university is teaming up with ANSYS Inc., a leader in engineering software development, to offer sixth- through eighth-graders a summer camp focusing on science, technology, engineering, arts and math. Registration is under way for the STEAM Creator Camp, which will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 12-16.
At the camp, students will focus on app development, using Gamesalad software; aquatic robotics, using SeaPerch technology; building design, using Minecraft gaming software; and comic book design, printing and manufacturing.
