Domicilary care providers needed
Southwestern Pennsylvania Area Agency on Aging is looking for individuals to participate in its Domicilary Care Program, which involves opening their homes and offering a homelike family environment for eligible adults 18 years of age or older who are unable to live independently due to physical, intellectual or age-related impairments.
Area Agency on Aging has been offering domiciliary care services throughout Washington, Greene and Fayette counties for more than 30 years.
Domiciliary care providers come from all walks of life and are making a difference in their communities and in the lives of others.
In return, they receive $964 a month for each individual residing in their home for services that are provided. Services include cooking, cleaning, laundry, medication setup, scheduling and providing transportation to medical appointments. Domiciliary care homes can accommodate one to three residents and are certified to meet the required fire, health and local zoning standards.
Those who are interested in becoming certified as a domiciliary care provider should call the Southwestern Pennsylvania Area Agency on Aging at 800-411-5655.
