Buffalo Grange 1523 will meet at 7 p.m. today in the grange hall.
An old-fashioned cookout fundraiser for injured North Charleroi junior firefighter Brandon Schwalb will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Cougar Mini Mart, 750 Lincoln Ave., Charleroi. Schwalb, 14, was struck by a car while responding to a fire call in April. Texas Roadhouse will set up a grill to cook and sell ribs, chicken, hot dogs, baked bean and cole slaw dinners. All proceeds will be donated to the Schwalb family.
Jefferson Township Historical Society will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday in the White Church Building, Eldersville. Ben Strain will speak on the history of Greenspring farm. There will be refreshments after the meeting.
Vankirk Friendship 4-H will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Emmanuel Church in Eighty Four.
The Better Breathers Support Group’s annual open house will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday at Centerville Clinic, 37 Highland Ave., Washington. Educational materials, free health screening and refreshments will be provided.
