Bowl for Kids’ Sake
Registration is under way for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Pittsburgh’s annual fundraiser, Bowl for Kids’ Sake.
The campaign has raised thousands of dollars each year for the past 30 years to promote positive mentoring and encourage children on the path to fulfilling their potential.
Teams of six bowlers can register online at www.bbbspittsburgh.kintera.org. After registering, they can begin to raise money. Some teams hold bake sales, others hold raffles. Many use email, social media or a Big Brothers Big Sisters personalized fundraising page online to obtain donations.
There is even a mobile app, compatible with Apple or Droid, with pre-authored emails, texts, tweets and Facebook messages to help teams collect donations and spread the word and promote their fundraising goals.
The teams will meet for a friendly competition and free bowling March 17 at AMF Noble Manor Lanes and West Pike Bowl and March 24 at Fun Fest Entertainment Center.
