St. Alphonsus hosts grief program
St. Alphonsus Church, 219 W. Lincoln Ave., McDonald, will hold a bereavement program, “Mourning Our Losses Across the Life Cycle: An Emotional and Spiritual Journey with Dr. Lillian Meyers,” from 2 to 4 p.m. April 14 in the social hall.
Meyers is retired from Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic, where she founded and directed the Grief Training Institute. She is a licensed clinical psychologist, a certified grief counselor, bereaved mother and serves as the program chairwoman of Compassionate Friends, Pittsburgh chapter. Meyers also is the author of “I’m Sorry for Your Loss: Hope and Guidance in Managing Your Grief,” which will be available for purchase.
