Mental health group to hold dinner

The Mental Health Association of Washington County will host its annual dinner at Southpointe Golf Club at 6:30 p.m. Friday.

The theme for this year’s awareness campaign is “Live Your Life Well.” Guest speaker will be Timothy Kimmel, human services director.

In addition, the MHA annual awards will be presented that evening. The winner of the Robert A. Harms Professional of the Year Award is Dr. Monica Speicher. She is being recognized for her participation in the “We Care Homeless Outreach Program” and the Arbuckle Clinic at the Washington City Mission. The winner of the Clara L. Deems Neighbor of the Year Award will be bestowed on the Observer-Reporter. The O-R is being recognized for its reporting on mental health issues in Washington County.
