Woodville Plantation celebrates holidays

1 min read

Woodville Plantation, 1375 Washington Pike, Bridgeville, will hold “Holidays at the House” from noon to 8 p.m. Nov. 17.

Cost is $5 per person. Children younger than 6 years old receive free admission.

There will be candlelight tours of the plantation, which is decked out to celebrate an 18th-century Christmas, with costumed guides, holiday displays and traditional decorations. Guests will learn how 18th-century holiday customs, such as Twelfth Night, boxing day and the firing of Christmas guns differ from modern-day celebrations.
