Emeterio – 80 years
Joyce Emeterio of Claysville will celebrate her 80th birthday with an open house celebration from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Claysville United Presbyterian Church, Wayne Street.
She was born November 16, 1933, in Claysville.
Her children are Lou Emeterio (Linda) of Claysville, Beth Emeterio of Maryville, Tenn., and Kim Brownlee of Claysville. She has six grandchildren, Louis Emeterio III, Jacquelyn Emeterio, Sarah Emeterio, William Emeterio, Jessica Scott and Elizabeth Harris; and four great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Emeterio is a retired home economics teacher from McGuffey High School. She enjoys being with her family, reading, travel and volunteering with Operation Christmas Child and Washington Hospital. She is active in McGuffey Retired Teachers, the Retired Home Economics Teachers group, Claysville High School Class of 1951 alumni group, several book clubs, the Red Hat Divas social club and is a member of Daughters of the American Revolution.
