A Sept. 11 memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Jefferson Township Veterans Memorial in Eldersville.

Emma Gragan will sing, and Nila Boyd will play the bagpipes. Tom Derby from Weirton Heights will give the opening prayer, and Jim Sands of Eldersville United Methodist Church will give the closing prayer.

During the service, the Jefferson Township Historical Society will be taking a collection to renovate the White Church and maintain the memorial. Coffee and doughnuts will be served after the service.
