Dillard – Sypula

Sara Sypula and Rico Dillard were united in marriage at Good Shepherd Church, June 29, 2013, with Pastor Rick Wiater officiating the 3 p.m. ceremony.
The bride’s parents are Charlotte Sypula of Washington and the late Tom Sypula. Her grandparents are June Sypula of Natrona Heights, the late Albert (Tom) Sypula and the late Mike and Sara Demma.
The bridegroom’s parents are Robert Lewis of Rankin and Jacqueline Dillard of Swissvale. His grandparents are Veria Dillard of Braddock, Genevieve Lewis of Rankin and the late Robert H. Lewis.
The bride given in marriage by her uncle, Kim Sypula of Peters Township.
Matron of honor was Katy Evans of Washington. Bridesmaids were Bethany Smith of North Hills, Shayna MacCleary of Pittsburgh, Gina Sypula of Peters Township, cousin of the bride, Kristin Laing of Wheeling, W.Va., and Ashley Trenski of Cranberry, cousin-in-law of the bride. Flower girl was Briana Payne, groom’s goddaughter.
Brandon Payne of Columbus, Ohio, served as best man. Groomsmen were Robert Flowers of Pittsburgh, cousin of the groom, Shawn Evans of Washington, Dion (Juice) Prioleau of Pittsburgh, Brady Martin of Pittsburgh and Jonathan Trenski of Cranberry, cousin of the bride. Ring bearer was Isaiah Payne, groom’s godson.
Readers were Michelle Sypula and Rose Trenski, aunts of the bride.
A reception was held at Hilton Garden Inn, Southpointe.
The new Mrs. Dillard is a 2000 graduate of Washington High School, a 2004 graduate of Bethany College, where she earned a bachelor of arts degree in social work and a bachelor of arts degree in psychology; and a 2005 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, where she earned a master’s degree in social work and was a member of ZTA sorority. She is a family liaison specialist at Pressley Ridge Day School in Pittsburgh.
Mr. Dillard is a 1997 graduate of Woodland Hills High School in Pittsburgh, a 2002 graduate of Gannon University, where he earned a bachelor of science degree in elementary education and early childhood education. He is a family liaison specialist at Pressley Ridge Day School in Pittsburgh The newlyweds took a honeymoon trip to Montego Bay, Jamaica, and make their home in Washington.
