WOMEN of Southwestern Pennsylvania Inc. will hold a Wine, Women and Chocolate event from 6 to 8 p.m. April 10 at Country Confections, 2500 Washington Road, Canonsburg. Participants will make a variety of truffles and taste wine paired with them. There also will be a wine-tasting led by Angela Burgess, owner of Washington Winery. Cost is $20. Dinner will be held at Fiori’s Pizza on Route 19 in McMurray. The meal is not included in the price of the program. Washington County Council of Democratic Women will meet at 6 p.m. Monday at Courthouse Square, room 104. Officers will be elected.

Western Pennsylvania Lensshooters Camera Club will meet at 7 p.m. April 9 in Peters Township Public Library. Gary Draper will demonstrate studio lighting and posing with a model. The club also is planning a wildflower field trip to Cedar Creek Park in Rostraver Township April 26. Those who would like to participate should meet at 8 a.m. at Peters Township Public Library to carpool to the park. This month’s photo theme is “faces.” One image per photographer is permitted.
