‘Flapper Fete’ to benefit theater

1 min read

The Mid-Mon Valley Cultural Trust will host its first “Olive Thomas Flapper Fete” from 6 to 10 p.m. Oct. 17 at the Willow Room, North Belle Vernon.

Money raised from the event will be used for roof repairs at the historic Coyle Theater in Charleroi.

The event will highlight Thomas’ 1920 comedy film, “The Flapper,” with a private screening as guests enjoy hors d’oeuvres, champagne, cupcakes, popcorn, a flapper photo booth, a strolling musician, flapper fashions, a Chinese auction, 50/50 raffle and silent auction. Guests who dress in flapper attire will be eligible for prizes.

Tickets are $50 and can be purchased from board members and at the Back Porch Restaurant in Lower Speers, Prima Diva Boutique in Charleroi and Bee Graphix in North Belle Vernon. A limited number of tickets will be sold, and tickets will not be sold at the door.

For tickets, call 724-331-3654.
