Businesses collecting toys for military families
Several area businesses and organizations are collecting new, unwrapped toys for Operation Toy Solider, a nationwide nonprofit program that helps local military families and their children celebrate the holidays.
Toys can be dropped off at the following locations until Dec. 21:
• American Legion Post 760, 2409 Bethel Church Road, Bethel Park;
• American Legion, 168 Park Ave., Washington;
• Bower Hill Elementary School, 424 Bower Hill Road, Venetia;
• Cremation & Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road,McMurray;
• Don’s Appliances, 2335 Washington Road, McMurray;
• Forest Lawn Gardens, 3739 Washington Road, McMurray;
• Heisler’s Market, 601 E. McMurray Road, McMurray;
• Lawrence Post Office, 18 School St.;
• McMurray Elementary School, 626 E. McMurray Road, McMurray;
• Miller’s Ace Hardware, 4275 Washington Road, McMurray;
• NAPA, 3351 Washington Road, McMurray;
• North Strabane Police/Fire department, 1929 Route 519, Canonsburg;
• Peters Township High School, 264 E. McMurray Road, McMurray;
• Peters Township Middle School, 625 E. McMurray Road, McMurray;
• Peters Township Police Department, 200 Municipal Drive, McMurray;
• Peters Township School District administrative building, 631 E. McMurray Road, McMurray;
• Peters Township Volunteer Department, 245 E. McMurray Road, McMurray;

The toys will be delivered to the Moon Township military bases, including the 316th Expeditionary Sustainment Command, 911th AirLift Wing and 171st Air Refueling Wing.
