Srnec – Imperatore
Amanda Imperatore and Matthew Srnec were united in marriage September 20, 2014, at Duquesne University’s Chapel of the Holy Spirit, Pittsburgh, with Father Daniel Walsh officiating the 3 p.m. ceremony.
The bride’s parents are Rick and Denise Imperatore of Canonsburg. Her grandparents are Jim and Janice Urban, Gloria M. Imperatore and Gloria J. Imperatore, all of Canonsburg, and the late Albert Imperatore.
Parents of the bridegroom are Nicholas and Linda Srnec of Poland, Ohio. His grandparents are the late Joseph and Martha Vicarel and the late Nicholas and Katherine Srnec.
Matron of honor was Sarah Pierre of Columbus, Ohio, sister of the groom.
Bridesmaids were cousins of the bride, Emily Smutney and Megan Smutney, both of Canonsburg; Emily Erskine of Canonsburg; Kristie Sirakos of Houston; Brenda Young of Houston; and Becca Barnes of Canonsburg.
Flower girl was Avery Pierre, niece of the groom.
Best man was Gavin Buckholtz of Monaca.
Ushers were brothers of the bride, Josh Imperatore and Tyler Imperatore , both of Canonsburg; Josh Pierre of Columbus, brother-in-law of the groom; Zack Pattison of Columbus; Riley Workman of Mt. Lebanon; and Jim Pasquine of Pittsburgh.
Ring bearer was Preston Pierre, nephew of the groom.
Readers were Diane Vicarel, Annie Slavin, Tim Mariano and Kayla Vidmar.
The bride graduated from Chartiers-Houston High School in 2006 and earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Washington & Jefferson College in 2010. She earned a master’s degree in business administration from Waynesburg University in 2013. She is a CPA candidate. The new Mrs. Srnec is a senior accounting manager at Rice Energy in Canonsburg,
Mr. Srnec graduated from Poland Seminary High School in Ohio in 2006 and earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Washington & Jefferson College in 2010. He is pursuing a doctorate in computational chemistry.
A reception was held at Duquesne University’s Power Center Ballroom.
