Butterfly Bandits plan cancer benefit

1 min read

Butterfly Bandits will hold their fifth annual fundraiser to raise thyroid cancer awareness, “Country and More for a Cure,” from 4 to 10 p.m. Aug. 23 at Legacy Lanes in Baldwin.

All proceeds will benefit the UPMC multidisciplinary thyroid cancer research team.

In addition to bowling, there will be an outdoor concert with Dawn Savage, Carolyn Marie and LocaL, plus the Pirate Parrot will visit. There also will be face-painting.

Tickets are $40, and food will be provided for each bowling lane.

For more information, email Christine Sypien, founder of Butterfly Bandits and a four-year thyroid cancer survivor, at chris.butterflybandits@gmail.com.
