Jameson’s Army plans golf fundraiser

1 min read

Jameson’s Army will hold its second annual “Golfing FORE little Hearts” Sept. 6 at Quicksilver Golf Course.

Registration will begin at noon, and a scramble and shotgun start will begin at 1 p.m. Dinner begins at 6 p.m., and prizes will be awarded.

Money raised will help purchase medical rocking chairs for infants and their families at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, in addition to supporting the organization’s monthly food drops and therapeutic heart pillows.

The nonprofit was founder by the family of Jameson McKain of Cecil Township, who was born with a congential heart defect known as hypoplastic left heart syndrome. After four open heart surgeries, Jameson received a heart transplant just before his first birthday.

Cost is $100 for single golfers and includes cart, green fees, dinner and prizes. Sponsorship opportunities that include a foursome also are available. Dinner only is $30.

To register, visit www.jamesonsarmy.org. For more information, visit the website or contact Danielle McKain at daniellemckain@jamesonsarmy.org or 412-867-7565.
