St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bridgeport, Ohio, will hold its annual rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 8 and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 9. Furniture, clothing, holiday decorations, kitchen wares and tools will be for sale. Parking and admission is free. There will be a lunch stand. For more information, call 740-635-2472.
Holocaust Center and Toonseum will hold a comic book launch and block party for “Chutz-pow! Superheros of the Holocaust” from 8 to 11 p.m. Aug. 14 at Toonseum, 945 Liberty Ave., Pittsburgh. There will be live music, local food trucks and cash-only vendors. Admission is $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Wheeling Civic Garden Center will hold its annual Style Show and luncheon, “Fall into Fashions,” at 11 a.m Aug. 15. Fashions will be provided by Anna-Kay’s Unique Fashions of Steubenville, Ohio. No tickets will be sold at the door.
Mt. Pleasant Glass & Ethnic Festival committee will present its 28th annual Cruise Night Aug. 15 at Frick Park in Mt. Pleasant. Gates open to drivers at 6 p.m., with admission by a donation. Dash plaques will be distributed to the first 200 drivers. Gates open to the public at 7 p.m., with a $2 donation. Children younger than 12 are free. There will be a DJ, food and beverages, prizes and a 50/50 drawing. Rain date is Aug. 22.
