Michaela Dhans was named to the dean’s list at Waynesburg University, where she is majoring in nursing. She is a 2009 graduate of Washington High School and is employed by UPMC Shadyside Hospital as a surgical technician. Her parents are Michael and Denise Dhans of Washington.
Kayla Hudak graduated summa cum laude from California University of Pennsylvania with a degree a communications disorders. She is a member of Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society, Pennsylvania Speech-Language-Hearing Association and Sigma Alpha Pi National Society of Leadership and Success. She was named a 2013 and 2014 Presidential Scholar and volunteers at Washington Health System’s Children’s Therapy Center. Hudak plans to attend graduate school in the fall to study speech-language pathology. She is a 2010 graduate of Trinity High School, and her parents are Scott and Lynn Hudak of Washington.
Aaron Margaria, son of Ray and Kathy Margaria of Avella, graduated from Penn State University, where he majored in horticulture with a minor in agronomy. He is a 2010 graduate of Avella Junior/Senior High School and is a farmer.
J. Patrick McGill graduated from Slippery Rock University with a bachelor of music degree in music education. McGill participated in the concert choir, Chamber Singers, men’s choir, commencement quartet, Opera Scenes, Marching Pride, saxophone ensemble and Jazz Lab Band, and he worked as a recording technician and engineer for the music department. McGill was a member of the Pennsylvania Collegiate Music Educators Association and Mu Phi Epsilon. He is employed by the Pittsburgh Opera as a chorister and plans to pursue graduate studies in vocal performance. McGill is a graduate of Washington High School, and his parents are James S. and Nancy McGill of Washington.
Daniel J. Moschetta, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. Jerome Moschetta, graduated magna cum laude from Thomas Cooley Law School. Moschetta finished second in his class. He received the Board of Directors’ Award for Outstanding Lawyering, the President’s Achievement Award, the Raymond Burr Award, the Shane Joseph Johnson Memorial Scholarship and 14 certificates of merit. He also served as a Grades Appeal magistrate and as a member of the Sixty Plus Inc., Elder Law Clinic. Moschetta is a summa cum laude graduate of John Carroll University with a B.S.B.A. in finance. At John Carroll, he received the Financial Executives International Award and was a member of Beta Gamma Sigma and Alpha Kappa Psi International Honor societies. He recently passed the Pennsylvania Bar exam.
Garrett Parson of Washington was named to the dean’s list at Virginia Military Institute, where he is majoring in biology. His mother is Mary T. Janco-Parsons.
Jeremy M. Sanders was named to the dean’s list at Virginia Military Institute, where he is majoring in history. His parents are Mr. and Mrs. Harry F. Sanders Jr. of Washington.
Holly Beth Stowinsky graduated from Penn State University, Fayette campus, with a bachelor of science in business. Stowinsky was named to the dean’s list and served as president of the Blue & White Society her sophomore through senior years. Stowinsky is employed by First Federal of Greene County as a customer service representative. Her parents are John C. and Marcia J. Stowinsky of Scenery Hill.
Natalie Wilkins graduated with a 4.0 grade-point average from West Liberty University with a bachelor’s degree in secondary English education. She also was named to the dean’s list and was a cheerleader for three years. Wilkins is a 2009 graduate of Burgettstown Junior-Senior High School, and her parents are Arthur and Mary Wilkins of Atlasburg.
Christopher Wright, son of Denise Wright of Washington and the late Bobby Wright, graduated from Washington & Jefferson College, where he majoring in computing and information studies/mathematics. He is a 2010 graduate of Trinity High School and is employed by CA Technologies.
Kevin York graduated from Nazarene Bible College, Colorado Springs, Colo., where he majored in pastoral ministries. He is a 2005 graduate of Portage Central High School in Michigan, and his parents are Pastor James and JoAnne York of Washington. He is an associate pastor at New Hope Church of the Nazarene in Washington.
