Samuel D. Foster Chapter 76, Disabled American Veterans and VFW 1810 Post Riders will hold their seventh annual charity ride beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday at Brentwood VFW Post 1810, 3801 Clairton Blvd. Registration is from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Cost is $15 for riderrs and $10 for passengers. The ride is 100 miles and ends at the Brentwood VFW with a buffet, cash bar, 50/50 raffle, Chinese auction, music and more. For more information, call 412-596-4194.
Jefferson College Historical Society will meet at 6 p.m. Monday at Frank Sarris Library, Jefferson Avenue, Canonsburg. John Matviya, who recently published “The Boys of ’61,” the story of Company D, 10th Pennsylvania Reserve, Canonsburg, will discuss the Civil War experience of Canonsburg volunteers. Officers will be elected.
Innovations in Medicine: Leg Pain will be presented by Dr. Abu-Hamad, a vascular surgeon, at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Mon-Vale HealthPLEX. Ghassan will discuss treatments for leg pain caused by peripheral arterial disease, including cramping in the calves, thighs or buttocks after activity.
