Fat Tuesday pancake and sausage dinner will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Roscoe Presbyterian Church. Cost is $6 for all-you-can-eat pancakes with three links of sausage and a beverage. Cost is $3 for children younger than 8. There also will be a bake sale, soup sale and Mardi Gras games. Proceeds will benefit a mission trip.
Maple sugaring preschool program for 3 to 5 year olds will be held Wednesday with two sessions available – 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. – at Mingo Creek Park, Shelter 6. Dress for weather as the program is held outdoors. An adult must attend. Registration is required; call 724-228-6867. Cost is $1 per child.
A community dinner will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Liberty United Methodist Church, 1330 Banetown Road, Washington. Dinner includes chicken and biscuit, mashed potatoes, green beans, cole slaw or fruit, dessert and beverage. A freewill offering accepted. Proceeds benefit local community outreach. Ladies of the Elks Lodge 776, 138 E. Maiden St., Washington, will hold its spring chicken and biscuit dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. March 9. Donations are $7 and tickets can be purchased at the door.
